The NCAA Tournament on CBS and Turner may go through a major shakeup in 2014, and it could leave us with a new play-by-play voice of the national championship game for the first time since 1991.
TBS may air 2014 Final Four, replace Jim Nantz with Marv Albert

As has been speculated and reported before, Turner may exercise a clause in it's contract to bring the Final Four to TBS, according to The New York Daily News. The network would then broadcast the games until 2016, when CBS and Turner would alternate from year-to-year between 2016 and 2024. The question, then, is whether or not Turner would use its own announcers, or allow Jim Nantz to continue doing the job he's been doing for well over two decades.
Names thrown out in the story include Marv Albert as a potential play-by-play voice. Steve Kerr already represents Turner, calling the Final Four every year on CBS with Nantz and Clark Kellogg. The network may also use Reggie Miller or Charles Barkley.
Speaking of Sir Charles, another story in the Daily News has him quoted as feeling “overexposed” during March Madness. He feels that the long workday for the first couple rounds of the NCAA Tournament -- well over 12 hours per day -- is overkill. “I have suggested to them that we only work six hour days. 12 hours is too much,” Barkley told the Daily News. “I don’t think you can keep your energy level up 12 hours.” There could be changes all around to the tournament when it comes around next March.
