NCAA lacrosse rankings 2013: Maryland remains No. 1

The Terps, who are riding a two-game winning streak, held on to the top spot for another week.

The Maryland Terrapins retained the No. 1 ranking in the latest USILA Coaches Poll. The Terps are 8-1 on the season, their only loss coming to No. 3 North Carolina. Cornell, Denver and Notre Dame are also ranked in the top five this week.

There wasn’t much movement within the top eight; North Carolina’s hop over Denver is the only change from last week. Bucknell moved up into the top 10 from the No. 11 spot, and Albany was the week’s big forward mover, going from No. 20 to No. 12.

Virginia, which has lost five consecutive games, took the biggest tumble, falling from No. 18 all the way out of the rankings.

Here is the complete top 10 in the USILA poll:

1. Maryland (6 first-place votes)
2. Cornell (3)
3. North Carolina (1)
4. Denver
5. Notre Dame
6. Loyola Maryland
7. Duke
8. Syracuse
9. Bucknell
10. Princeton
