Weather for today’s Preakness Stakes is a lot drier than it was for the Kentucky Derby earlier this month. Skies will be mostly cloudy, but most of the rain will stay south of Baltimore, MD.
A front has stalled across Virginia and North Carolina, focusing most of the shower and storm activity south of Pimlico Race Course. There is only a slight chance that showers or a storm could pass by later this afternoon.
PREAKNESS STAKES WEATHER FORECAST:
Cloudy to mostly cloudy skies today, cool with afternoon high temperatures near 70 degrees. Winds will be out of the east-southeast between 5 and 15 mph. There is only a slight chance of an isolated shower or storm later this afternoon. Most of this afternoon and evening will be dry.
