Terrence Williams arrested, accused of ‘making threats with a gun’

Celtics player Terrence Williams was arrested after an incident during a child visitation on Sunday. He is accused of waving a gun and making threats.

Boston Celtics swingman Terrence Williams was arrested in Kent, Wash. on Sunday afternoon. According to Chris Daniels of KING TV, he is accused of making threats with a gun. Daniels further reports that Williams, a Seattle native, waved a gun during a scheduled child visitation and made threats, according to the Kent Police Department.

Williams was a former Rainier Beach High School star before attending Louisville. He was selected No. 11 overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets and bounced around for a few years between the NBA, the D-League and China before signing with the Celtics in February 2013.

Williams played in 24 games for the Celtics in 2013 and in five of their six postseason games. During the season, he averaged 13.3 minutes per game, 4.6 points per game, 1.8 rebounds per game and 1.6 assists per game. He has a career NBA average of 7.1 points per game.
