Canadiens vs. Senators: Brian Gionta, Max Pacioretty out for Game 2
The Montreal Canadiens will be without Brian Gionta and Max Pacioretty in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Both players have been diagnosed with upper-body injuries, which presumably were sustained sometime during Game 1 on Thursday night.
Gionta recorded 16:09 of ice time and played 6:25 in the third period (his highest total of the contest). Pacioretty played 19:59 and recorded 7:05 in the third period. Both players played the final shift of the contest and were on the ice when the final horn sounded.
When the injuries occurred remains to be seen.
In addition, the club will be without Lars Eller, who received a punishing blow from Ottawa defenseman Eric Gryba. Eller was hospitalized overnight but returned home this morning.
Head coach Michel Therrien has yet to decide who will replace the players on Friday night. It is believed an announcement will be made closer to game time.
