With the bloom of May flowers brings the truth that the college baseball season is heating up, as teams all over the country try to find their way to Omaha, Neb. for the College World Series.

Below are the top 10 teams in the country, their records, and how they fared this past week:

  1. North Carolina (41-4) - Beat the Citadel 13-0 Vanderbilt (39-6) - Beat South Carolina 3-2 and 5-2 LSU (39-6) - Beat McNeese State 7-3; defeated Florida 3-2, 5-0, 18-6 Virginia (38-8) - Beat VCU 11-3 Oregon St. (34-8) - Beat California 6-1, 5-0 Florida St. (35-9) - No games. Oregon (33-10) - Lost 3-2 to Seattle; beat Washington St. 5-3 and 6-3.

South Carolina (33-12) - Lost to Vanderbilt 3-2 and 5-2
North Carolina St. (34-11) - Beat Presbyterian 5-1 and 8-1
Cal State Fullerton (36-7) - Beat Long Beach State 3-2 and 2-1
