Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson received bad news from the doctors on Friday, as he will remain in a walking boot for another four weeks after originally hoping to return to the team's rotation in July, according to MLB.com's Jane Lee.
Brett Anderson injury: A’s LHP expected to be out until at least August
The Oakland starter had originally been expected to rejoin the rotation on Friday, but he suffered a setback to his ankle.

Anderson was originally diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right foot in mid-May, which came a couple of weeks after he was placed on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle. The team moved Anderson to the 60-day disabled list on Friday to open up a space on the 40-man roster for Dan Otero.
Anderson has already suffered several injuries in his brief career, landing on the disabled list four times in five years and pitching in just 44 games in the four seasons since his rookie campaign in 2009.
With Anderson still out, Dan Straily will likely remain in the Athletics' rotation for the foreseeable future.
