2013 NASCAR At Sonoma weekend weather forecast

When NASCAR visits Sonoma California, rain isn’t something you hear much in the forecast, but there is a chance of showers this weekend.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series is back out west to take on the first road course of the season in Sonoma, California. The weather forecast for this weekend’s activities is mostly dry but an approaching storm system off the Pacific, brings an increased threat of rain and clouds for Sunday.

High pressure will keep skies sunny and temperatures warm for today and Saturday. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to reach the low 80s both days. Winds will be out of the west and could be a little breezy each afternoon with winds gusts between 15 and 20 mph.

Storm system coming in off the Pacific will spread clouds and bring a small increase in showers for Sunday afternoon. Not really concerned about rain for Sunday’s Toyota/Save mart 350 but the slight chance of a late day shower is worth mentioning. It will also be cooler Sunday, temperatures will be nearly eight to ten degrees cooler than they were today and Saturday.
