Official lineups are in for both teams for Game 2 of the College World Series finals, and there’s at least one surprise on the Mississippi State side. Kendall Graveman was expected to take the mound for the Bulldogs, but head coach John Cohen has elected to start lefty Luis Pollorena in his stead.
College World Series 2013 finals: Lineups for Game 2
Mississippi State and UCLA have turned in their lineups for Tuesday night’s national championship game, and a surprise pitching change highlights the Bulldogs’ card.
In another notable change from Game 1 for Mississippi State, Sam Frost will replace Trey Porter. Frost will play third base while Alex Detz slides into the the DH slot to take over for Porter.
As expected, UCLA will run out Nick Vander Tuig for the start, and will go with the same lineup from Monday night.
