NBA Draft 2013: Atlanta Hawks select Raul Neto with No. 47 pick

The Hawks have selected another point guard, this time taking Raul Neto with the No. 47 pick.

The Atlanta Hawks have selected Brazilian point guard Raul Neto with the No. 47 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Neto is a 21-year-old point guard who currently plays for Lagun Aro GBC in the Spanish ACB League. He’s 6’2, and is very quick and aggressive when handling the ball. His quickness makes him a good penetrator, so he does a nice job getting to the rim.

On the downside, Neto needs to improve his jumper and he’s sometimes prone to turning the ball over. He’s also not the best athlete in the world, which could be a problem against some of the better point guards in the NBA.

This is the second international point guard taken by the Hawks in the draft, as they also selected Germany's Dennis Schroeder. Atlanta may lose Jeff Teague in restricted free agency, so taking these point guards could be insurance if that happens.
