Naijiel Hale, son of Nate Dogg, ready to commit at Nike’s The Opening

REGULATORRRRRRRRRRRRS! Naijiel Hale is the son of Nate Dogg, but more importantly for our purposes, he’s a four-star cornerback. He’ll be making his college choice known this weekend.

Tom Hauck, Student Sports

Naijiel Hale is ready to make a name for himself, and he’ll announce where this weekend at Nike’s The Opening in Portland.

Hale is the son of late singer and West Coast rap icon Nate Dogg, and proud of it: his twitter handle is @YoungNateDogg. But he’s also got talent of his own, and he’s set to put it on display. The 5’11, 175-pound junior at Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco in Los Angeles earned all-state nods as a sophomore, and is a four-star cornerback. 247’s composite places him as the No. 23 cornerback in the country, and the 31st best player in the nation’s most populous state. While 247 and Scout give him four stars, Rivals and ESPN give him just three.

Hale has offers from 10 schools, including Pac-12 squads in Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Utah, and Washington State. He also has offers from nationally prominent squads in Nebraska and Boise State.
