NCAA Baseball Tournament 2013 schedule and TV coverage: 2nd round gets back on track Saturday

After rain threw a wrench into Friday’s schedule, teams are eager to get back onto the field Saturday. LSU and UCLA will be looking to clinch bids to Omaha after wins on Day 1.

North Carolina and South Carolina are poised to resume their interstate rivalry on Saturday after rain pushed back Game 1.

With Tropical Storm Andrea moving up the East Coast on Friday, both the Chapel Hill and Raleigh super regionals were forced to postpone their Day 1 games. Both series have been pushed back 24 hours and will begin on Saturday, with Game 1 sliding back into the slot for Game 2. North Carolina-South Carolina shifts to noon ET Saturday on ESPN, and N.C. State-Rice moves to 4 p.m. on ESPN2. Times and TV coverage for a potential Game 3 at both sites will be determined on Sunday, if necessary.

The rest of the tournament got off without a hitch, as LSU and UCLA picked up series-opening wins in their respective supers. They’ll both be looking to close out the second round on Saturday, as they’re now just one win away from Omaha.

Keep an eye on Vanderbilt and Louisville at 3 p.m. on ESPN. The Commodores were hit with an unexpected loss in round one, possibly providing a blueprint for a Cardinal upset. Both clubs have stellar starting pitching and love to run the basepaths, so it should make for an exciting matchup either way.

Keep up with NCAA.com’s interactive bracket here.
