2013 NASCAR at Pocono Raceway race day weather forecast

NASCAR race day weather for the Sprint Cup series at Pocono Raceway is looking mostly dry.

Rain has been a problem for NASCAR all this weekend, first rain washed out practice and qualifying for the Sprint Cup series on Friday. Then showers forced the Nationwide series to postpone the Saturday night race and run it this morning at Iowa Speedway. The good news, rain doesn’t look to be a problem for Pocono Raceway, which may actually surprise many of you.

Pocono Raceway has a history of rain either threatening, delaying or even postponing the race when it visits. Today rain is not expected to cause any problems for the Sprint Cup race. It will be partly to mostly sunny with afternoon temperatures near 80.
