Jack Edwards will leave you a video message, for the right price

He’ll also have lunch with you, but that will cost more.

I think I’ve stated before that I’m generally pro-Jack Edwards. A lot of people don’t quite cotton to his style and think he’s a homer, but don’t forget that he’s a local announcer. They’re supposed to be homers. Edwards is one of the few announcers who make being a fan translate to television. Plus, he calls a pretty decent game, regardless. He’s a man of the people.

That’s why it isn’t necessarily a surprise to see Edwards hooked up with Thuzio. If you’ve never heard of it before, the company is co-chaired by former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber. The company’s mission statement is fairly simple:

Thuzio helps the public connect to professional athletes and other talent for unforgettable experiences. We make it easy to book it online by providing clear pricing, handling all the communications, payments and logistics with the talent, and ultimately ensuring a great customer experience.

Thuzio makes it simple for the talent to reach the public via our online platform, choose the types of experiences they would like to provide, and do it when and where it is convenient for them. We enable the talent to maximize the value of their brand by providing online marketing services, handling payment and managing all communications and customer service.

So what can you do with Jack Edwards? Well, the most basic, and most excellent, aspect of this is that for $99, Edwards will leave you a personalized message. Days Of Y’Orr -- a Bruins blog -- was given more specific directions:

It means that Edwards can wax poetic about your birthday, a Bachelor Party, or any special occasion. Imagine that 5’9” bouncer being compared to Zdeno Chara? What if your best buddies were as cool as Bergeron, Marchand and Horton? Would there be an antagonist quite like the Montreal Canadiens?

They also found an example. It is... worth your time.

There are other things Edwards will do. For $500, he’ll have lunch with you and a group of up to 10 people. He’ll come to your party for $1000. For that same price, he’ll also “share his story with up to 20 people.” Finally, for $1500, he’ll make an appearance at your next event.

Now, the one question I have: if you’re a Canadiens fan, does the price go up? Will Jack Edwards willingly listen to you talk Habs for just $500? These are the questions that I need answered. Your move, Montreal.
