At the All-Star Game in New York, America was flabbergasted by 71-year-old broadcaster Tim McCarver doing a cold reading of the lyrics to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” He was doing so in tribute to Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, as he uses the tune as his entrance music. It was still a little weird, and definitely became the talk of the All-Star broadcast toward the end.

Fox Saturday Baseball gets a little weird.

Today, during a Fox Saturday Baseball broadcast of Yankees vs. Red Sox, McCarver and play-by-play man Kenny Albert got into a discussion of New York second baseman Robinson Cano’s business relationship with Jay Z. It was... weird.
Boy that turned into The Office-level cringe really quick. Albert doesn’t necessarily help with the “Suit & Tie” reference. Still, it’s funny to see McCarver go for laughs, even if he never quite succeeds. He’s going out in his final season doing pretty much whatever the hell he wants.
