Michael Vick completed 4-of-5 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown in his first game under Chip Kelly. He started out with a 22-yard strike to Jason Avant and followed that up with a 47-yard score to DeSean Jackson against New England.
Michael Vick looks good in Eagles opener, fantasy value still unclear
The Eagles quarterback situation is still up in the air, but Michael Vick made a good first impression in Chip Kelly’s offense. We break down the fantasy implications.

Nick Foles finished 5-of-6 for 43 yards, but he didn’t make as much of a splash as Vick. Matt Barkley saw extensive playing time, completing 11-of-22 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy impact: Vick put in just the performance he needed. While it was a short first showing, he looked sharp in two series and drew better reviews from most critics than Foles.
It’s still too early to start moving Vick up fantasy draft boards, but you can probably pencil him in as the starter, barring some unforeseen meltdown. His turnover issues from 2012 keep him in the QB2 range. He could move up if he continues to play like he did against the Patriots, though.
