Since 1987, ESPN had always aired a Big East game on Monday nights at 7 p.m. ET. Those days are, obviously, gone. The old Big East is the diminished American Athletic Conference, and the new Big East has packed up and taken their business over to Fox Sports 1.
Big Monday replaces Big East with the ACC
After 25 years of Big East action on Mondays, the ACC takes over the early slot.

ESPN’s Big Monday franchise, like all things, has moved on. The network has been airing the college hoops doubleheader since 1987, and they have a replacement for the Big East: the ACC, which will now occupy the 7 p.m. ET timeslot. The Big 12 will remain at 9 p.m. ET, as they have since the conference formed in 1996.
Highlights of the schedule include appearances by new ACC (and former Big East) members Notre Dame, Pitt and Syracuse. North Carolina and Duke will both be featured multiple times. Pre-season No. 5 Kansas will be featured four times, as will No. 11 Oklahoma State. NIT Champions Baylor will make two appearances.
Big Monday is a part of the network’s massive contract with both the Big 12 and the ACC, from which they air over 100 games per season.
