How to watch the BMW Championship live online, TV schedule, radio and more

After a week away, the PGA Tour’s postseason returns to Chicago, where the final 70 players this season try to elbow their way into the TOUR Championship.

After a week off the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs resume this weekend in Chicago for the BMW Championship. Only 70 players remain in the Tour’s postseason, and this week’s tournament at Conway Farms will cut off more than half the playoff field. It’s the largest cut made during the playoffs, with only 30 players making it through to the Tour Championship in Atlanta for the season’s most exclusive field and a grand $10 million prize.

The second leg of the postseason in Boston featured a Monday Labor Day finish and four weather-interrupted days. The Tour is back on the traditional Thursday through Sunday schedule for the BMW Championship, and playing in the central time zone should afford them a little extra room and daylight to overcome some inclement weather.

This is the first time Conway Farms has hosted a PGA Tour event, with the relatively new club opening in the early 90s. It’s a new test for the pros, but local Luke Donald, a Northwestern grad and Chicago resident, will serve as the unofficial host for this first run. The BMW has typically been the annual Chicago stop, but next year the third leg of the playoffs will travel to Denver and Cherry Hills CC.

Golf Channel and NBC will continue their FedExCup coverage this week, the sister Comcast networks taking over for CBS for the final three events of the season. So you’ll get a little more Johnny Miller, who’s been busy lamenting the network’s loss of the U.S. Open. The two networks will also provide simulcast streams of their coverage throughout the four days in Chicago. Here are your media options for this week’s event at Conway Farms:
