The Geico 400, the 27th race in the 2013 Sprint Cup Series, is set for Sunday afternoon at the Chicagoland Speedway. It’s also the first race in the Chase for the Cup, and is incredibly important at this point. Joey Logano won the pole on Friday, and will be joined in the front row by Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski, who didn’t make the Chase field.

Logano barely made it into the field, and his entry has been surrounded by controversy, but NASCAR officials have suggested that no further action needs to be taken. He’s in and that’s not changing, even if his team has been put on “probation.”
The top three rows are rounded out by Juan Pablo Montoya and Kasey Kahne in row two and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Jeff Gordon in row three.
The race is set for 2 p.m. ET, and will be on ESPN. Their pre-race coverage begins an hour earlier. The green flag is scheduled for approximately 2:16, according to Jayski.com. The race is also being shown online at WatchESPN.com and RaceView. If you are unable to watch the event, you can listen to race coverage on Sirius XM channel 90.
