Unrestricted free agent forward Brendan Morrow has agreed to terms on a contract with the St. Louis Blues, according to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN on Monday morning. Morrow agreed to a one-year, $1.5-million contract, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Blues have reached an agreement with unrestricted free agent Brenden Morrow.

After nearly 13 seasons with the Dallas Stars, including a Stanley Cup Final appearance in his rookie season of 1999-00, Morrow -- the captain of the Stars since 2006 -- was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in attempt to load up the club and win a Stanley Cup. He was traded for prospect Joe Morrow and two draft picks. Morrow played well down the stretch for the Penguins, with 14 points in 15 games, but his scoring dried up -- like most of the team's did -- in the post-season.
Though Morrow has been a good two-way forward, his career has been plagued with injuries. Since 2005-06, Morrow has missed more than 25 games in a season four times. His best season came in 2007-08, when he put up 32 goals and 74 points in 82 games. The 34-year-old forward scored 12 goals and 25 points in 44 games this season, and might be out to prove that he can still get it done with the Blues.
