TBS revamped much of their personnel for the 2013 Major League Baseball postseason, and they made it official on Monday.
TBS announces MLB postseason commentators, which thankfully include Pedro Martinez
Pedro, Rachel Nichols and Dirk Hayhurst among the new names on TBS this post-season.

The network announced that Pedro Martinez will indeed be their lead studio analyst, and will join Keith Olbermann on all broadcasts this postseason. Tom Verducci, who has been on pretty much every network that broadcasts baseball this year, will contribute. Also along for the ride as a contributor, in an intriguing move, is Dirk Hayhurst, a former Major League relief pitcher who spent much of his career in the minors. Since retirement, Hayhurst has made waves for his work as an author and broadcaster.
A couple of changes also were made to the network’s on-site broadcast teams. Cal Ripken Jr. will replace John Smoltz on TBS’ ‘A’-team, working the NLCS with Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling, Craig Sager and Verducci. Smoltz will still work one of the Division Series with Brian Anderson and Joe Simpson. Matt Winer and Rachel Nichols, both frequent contributors on other Turner Sports properties, will also work as sideline reporters for Turner.
TBS’ MLB postseason coverage begins on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with the NL Wild Card game. They will broadcast all but two LDS games, and the National League Championship Series.
