Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE

1. South Carolina vs. Georgia

Details: Saturday, September 7 @ 4:30 PM ET - Sanford Stadium - Athens, GA

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The Georgia Bulldogs haven’t beaten the Gamecocks since 2009, but the Dogs have made two-consecutive appearances in theSEC Championship Game. The SEC East could be decided between the hedges Saturday, as these two programs take the field. Can the Heisman-hyped DE, Clowney, slow the Dog’soffense? His past performance against the Dogs includes 3 sacks, a forced fumble, and two wins. While Georgia is looking to avoid an 0-2 start for the second time in three years. Senior quarterback, Aaron Murray, has the skills to lead UGA to a win, as he’s clutch in the 4th quarter (no turnovers in the 4th Q since 12/3/11) and will be looking to lead his team to victory.

2. Notre Dame vs. Michigan

Details: Saturday, September 7 @ 8:00 PM ET - Michigan Stadium - Ann Arbor, MI

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: Two of college football’s most prestigious schools take the field Saturday night in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as the Fighting Irish and Wolverines square off in week two! These teams have great quarterbacks, as Tommy Rees (ND) and Devin Gardner (UM), will be the focal point under the lights of the Big House. Rees was sharp in the opener, throwing for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Gardner had a trio of TDs as well (1 passing, 2 rushing). This game could be the winner’s ticket to a BCS bowl. With that a on the line, it’s a game unlike any other on the Saturday’s schedule. Don’t miss a great QB battle as one of the great rivalries in college football kicks off Saturday night on ESPN!

3. Chicago Fire vs. Seattle Sounders

Details: Saturday, September 7 @ 10:00 PM ET - CenturyLink Field - Seattle, WA

Watch Here: NBCSN on XFINITY

Why Watch: The Emerald City Supporters will be in full roar Saturday night as the Chicago Fire come to town for Saturday night’s MLS match on NBCSN. The Fire are playing for a position in the playoffs and are sitting in seventh in the Easter Conference Table, only two points removed from the fifth place spot. A road win in Seattle, home of the largest and most raucous MLS crowd (avg. 42,963) would be a great boost for Chicago, but it won’t come easy. They’ll need the sure-footed scorer, Mike Magee (14 goals), to kick it in to gear. It won’t be easy, as Sounders’ goalie, Michael Gspurning, hasn’t allowed a goal since August 17th!

4. Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds

Details: Sunday, September 8 @ 8:05 PM ET - Great American Ball Park - Cincinnati, OH

Watch Here: ESPN on XFINITY

Why Watch: Two of the best starters the National League has to offer will be on the mound Sunday night, as Clayton Kershaw vs. Homer Bailey is on full display. Homer Bailey has two no-hitters under his belt (most recent 6/2/13 vs. SFG), but is looking for win number 11, Sunday night. Clayton Kershaw looks like the front-runner for 2013’s Cy Young award and has an uncanny ERA of 1.89! Kershaw is bidding for the NL’s pitching triple crown (leading in strike outs, wins and ERA) as the season is nearing its end. Which ace will bring their best hand to the bump Sunday? Don’t miss the first pitch of ESPN’s big games Sunday night.

Details: Sunday, September 8 @ 8:30 PM ET - AT&T Stadium - Arlington, TX

Watch Here: NBC on XFINITY

Why Watch: The NFC East rivalry of the Cowboys and Giants kicks off in Texas Sunday night. The Cowboys are hoping that 2013 will bring new headlines after this games final whistle, as they’ve not beaten the Giants at home since 2008! The Giants are looking for a big contribution from their 2012 1st round pick, running back David Wilson. Wilson will carry the load for the G-Men and can bust the line for a big run at any moment .The Cowboys are counting on third-year receiver Dez Bryant to claim the crown of the NFL’s best wideout. Bryant has looked great all preseason, primed for a big year on the field. See if the expectations are met as the NFL is back on NBC!
