The first half was fairly boring and didn’t feature much in the way of scoring chances for either team, but Falcao sparked things to life in the 51st minute. He created the shooting lane for himself with an incredible cutback that caused Paraguay captain Paulo da Silva to slide right by him. From the right side of the box, Falcao lofted a shot to the far corner that took a deflection before bouncing in.
