Thursday was a slow day for practices, so today’s roundup is just a link dump.


In four days of practice for the East-West Shrine Game this week, Pierre Desir has gotten used to the squint directed his way.
The East-West Shrine Game is still a few days away, but scouts have already seen enough from the top prospects in attendance at practices this week to make strong assessments on their potential.

In a pad-less, slower, special teams-focused practice for both teams on a Shrine Game Thursday, there wasn’t a whole lot of great information to gather. Being what they expected, most NFL teams (minus Packers GM Ted Thompson and a handful of others) opted to leave the even early, per usual. Despite it being a slower day, I felt, WR John Brown, CB Jemea Thomas, and CB Bene Benwikere impressed.
Bleacher Report: Keith Wenning out to prove himself during Shrine Game practices
Speaking to Bleacher Report on Thursday, Wenning said that his time at the Shrine Game is being spent trying to "open some eyes for those who don't perceive [him] as a top quarterback."
