A-League week 17 squad lists

Returns from injuries and suspension bring most clubs back toward full strength as February arrives.

Michael Dodge

The A-League returns from its big Australia Day weekend with five more games spanning the end of January and the beginning of February. Disastrously poor Melbourne Victory will bring back Pablo Contreras and Adama Traore from injuries, boosting the defensive prowess of the team that has been outscored 10-0 in its past two games. Besart Berisha returns for Brisbane Roar and will play his first game since the announcement of his offseason sale to the Victory. Steven Lustica will not take part in Adelaide United's game in Auckland against Wellington Phoenix as his contractual issues remain at the fore. Elsewhere, Joel Griffiths received his International Transfer Certificate and will play for Newcastle Jets while Adam D'Apuzzo and Tomi Juric return from suspension for Western Sydney Wanderers. Tom Rogic will start for the first time for Melbourne Victory on Friday night in Perth.
