The Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles have started Saturday in Game 2 where they left off on Friday in Game 1, with exciting plays on offense and defense in another close game. Orioles center fielder Adam Jones has been at the middle of the action in a pair of tying rallies in Game 2, which is tied 4-4 after five innings.
Adam Jones highlights two tying rallies for Orioles in ALCS Game 2
Jones first made a spectacular diving snow-cone catch to rob Norichika Aoki of a hit in the third inning, then in the bottom of the frame came through on offense. His line drive into the seats in left field not only tied the game at 3-3, but was the first postseason home run of Jones' career, in his 11th playoff game. He also singled in the fifth inning, moving Alejandro De Aza to third base during another game-tying rally for Baltimore.
But the resilient Royals can't be counted out either. Their rally in the first led to a two-run single by Eric Hosmer, and a solo home run in the fourth by third baseman Mike Moustakas briefly recaptured the lead for Kansas City. It was Moustakas' second home run of the series and fourth of the postseason.
