The San Diego Chargers have been one of the NFL's best teams this season, with five straight wins since their opening loss. The Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, have gone 2-1 since starting 0-2, bringing themselves back to relevance. The Chargers look to continue their hot streak Sunday, while the Chiefs hope to get back to .500.
Fantasy football advice, Week 7: Who to start/sit for Chiefs vs. Chargers
After the Chiefs spent most of last season near the top of the AFC West, this year it’s been San Diego’s turn.

The Chiefs come into Sunday's game fairly healthy from a fantasy perspective, with only wide receiver Donnie Avery -- out with a groin injury -- on the list. The Chargers have more to deal with -- running backs Donald Brown (concussion) and Ryan Mathews (knee) are both out again, while wide receiver Eddie Royal is listed as probable after dealing with elbow and rib ailments.
The Chargers host Sunday’s game at 4:05 p.m. ET. Take a look at the fantasy names to consider:
CHIEFS
Start 'em: Now that he's healthy again, Jamaal Charles will be in every lineup, every week. ... Tight end Travis Kelce has three straight games with a score, and while you'd like him to get a few more targets, he's still a reasonable starter at tight end.
Start 'em?: A year ago, Alex Smith had seven games of 20-plus fantasy points out of 15 games played. This year, it's only one out of five. He's a reasonable QB2, but not near a starter.
Sit 'em: In Charles' first game back to health, Knile Davis looked like he would continue to be a part of the team's offense, but that went away the next week. He's a handcuff only. ... Dwayne Bowe has looked good on several individual plays this season, but that hasn't added up to any real production for fantasy owners. ... Cairo Santos hasn't offered a lot of kicking value so far. He's not a fantasy factor. ... The Chiefs' defense has five or fewer fantasy points in four of five games, and now gets a strong offense opposite it.
CHARGERS
Start 'em: If we were to pick a first-chunk-of-the-season MVP, it would be Andrew Luck, DeMarco Murray or Philip Rivers. He's been great. ... Now that he's not playing the Jets and Raiders, Branden Oliver probably won't be quite as successful, but he's still a strong RB2 until Mathews is back. ... Nick Novak has been a good kicker, averaging almost 10 fantasy points a game. Top tier. ... The Chargers' defense had a bad Week 6, but it's still one of the league's top units.
Start 'em?: It's been an awful season so far for Keenan Allen. He's still -- theoretically at least -- the best wide receiver on the Chargers, but that's translated to only one game of more than five fantasy points. He's a low-end flex right now. ... Both Eddie Royal and Malcom Floyd have been far more successful than Allen so far. It seems like Allen is still the top guy in San Diego, but there's an argument for any of the three to be a flex play. ... I just don't believe Antonio Gates is an every-week starter at tight end, but he's a high-end TE2 at worst.
Sit 'em: One last time: Ladarius Green isn't fantasy-relevant as long as Gates is healthy. Unless something changes, this is probably his last week even being mentioned.
SUMMARY
Start in every league: Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, Philip Rivers, Branden Oliver, Nick Novak, San Diego defense
Start if you're desperate: Alex Smith, Keenan Allen, Eddie Royal, Malcom Floyd, Antonio Gates
Bench: Knile Davis, Dwayne Bowe, Cairo Santos, Kansas City defense, Ladarius Green
