Day 1 will feature Untapable and Close Hatches vying for supremacy in the 1 1/8-mile Distaff race that will cap off the evening. Three other races, the Juvenile Turf (5:25 p.m. ET), Dirt Mile (6:05 p.m.) and the Juvenile Fillies Turf (6:50 p.m.) will set the table for the Distaff finale at 7:35 p.m.
In the Dirt Mile, Goldencents will look to assert himself as one of the best in 2014 with his second win of the season. He’s been the model of consistency thus far, winning or placing in each of his four starts this year including a runner-up finish at the Santa Anita Sprint Championship four weeks ago.
NBC Sports Live Extra will feature all of the action online, allowing smartphone and tablet users to stream the races via participating cable providers. The online content for Friday will begin streaming at 5 p.m. NBCSN will carry the events Friday on television.
