Right when they could afford it the least, both the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins suffered losses in Week 10. The Bills were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Dolphins fell to the Detroit Lions. The losses brought both teams down to 5-4; in a largely competitive AFC, the loss hurt both teams' chances at a playoff berth. Thursday night, the teams will fight one another in an effort to avoid falling to .500.
Fantasy football advice, Week 11: Who to start/sit for Bills vs. Dolphins on Thursday Night Football
After disappointing Week 10 losses, Miami and Buffalo both come into Thursday really needing a win.

The biggest fantasy names of both teams enter Thursday's game injured. Bills' running back Fred Jackson is still dealing with a groin injury, despite playing in Week 10. He is officially questionable for Thursday, and while Jackson is expected to play, it's unlikely he'll be at full strength. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins, also dealing with a groin injury, will play Thursday as well. He's listed as probable, but looks to be none the worse for wear from his own injury. The Dolphins, meanwhile, have several names on their injury report, primarily running back Lamar Miller, who is still dealing with a shoulder injury. He's been limited in practice, and while he'll likely be active Thursday, odds are against him being at full strength. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill and tight end Charles Clay are also on the injury report, though neither appears to be in danger of missing the game.
The Dolphins will host the Thursday game at 8:25 p.m. ET. Let’s take a look at the fantasy names to consider:
BILLS
Start ‘em: The Bills’ defense has put up double-digit fantasy points in four of its last five chances. It’s an every-week must-start now.
Start 'em?: In five games as the team's starter, Kyle Orton has averaged 17 fantasy points a game, a perfectly serviceable if unspectacular number. Against the stout Miami defense, you probably want to tread lightly, but in a pinch, he's usable. ... Bryce Brown did more of the work in Week 10 with Fred Jackson held up. Both profile as mid-to-low flexes. ... If we knew Sammy Watkins were 100 percent, he'd be a must-start, but considering his health concerns, you'd be forgiven if you let him sit this one out. ... Dan Carpenter has had an up-and-down season, but in a game where touchdowns might be hard to come by, he could get plenty of chances to kick.
Sit 'em: Brown and Jackson have both performed better than Anthony Dixon; he's off the table as far as fantasy usability. ... Robert Woods has performed better of late, but he's hardly trustworthy as a fantasy option. ... Scott Chandler has had a couple of decent games, but no consistency.
DOLPHINS
Start 'em: After a couple down weeks, Mike Wallace rebounded with a decent Week 10. He's not a spectacular fantasy option, but he's a low-end WR2. ... Caleb Sturgis has been one of the best fantasy kickers all year long; he hasn't put up fewer than seven fantasy points in a game since Week 2. ... The Dolphins' defense is one of the top two units in the league this season.
Start ‘em?: The last seven games, Ryan Tannehill’s fantasy scoring has been 12-20-17-23-13-27-10. Sure, that pattern would indicate a 20-plus-point game in Week 11, but what I see is too much unpredictability.
Sit 'em: With Lamar Miller banged up, Damien Williams, Daniel Thomas and LaMichael James unspectacular, and tackle Branden Albert now lost for the year, the Miami running game looks like an overall stay-away for the time being. ... Jarvis Landry has been getting more use of late, but he's not a solid fantasy start yet. ... Charles Clay wouldn't be a fantasy play even if he were totally healthy.
