Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal will make his season debut Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks, reports Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post. Beal missed the first nine games of the season after suffering a left wrist fracture during the preseason.

The Wizards have played quite well in Beal's absence, posting a 7-2 record through nine games thanks to John Wall and a strong defense. However, his return comes at a good time as Washington's schedule starts toughening up Wednesday with the Mavericks in town.
Beal will be on a somewhat short leash to start -- he's coming off the bench with a minutes limit, per Castillo -- but his shooting and ballhandling will immediately take pressure off Wall and allow the offense to do some things it couldn't with Garrett Temple playing big minutes. Beal made steady progress in his first two NBA seasons despite a number of injuries, and could be ready to break out in a big way after getting past his latest physical ailment.
Last season, Beal averaged 17.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 73 games with Washington.
