The Minnesota Vikings are 3-5, in last place in their division, but they won their last game, maybe getting back on the right track. Washington is in the exact same boat, except that team's winning streak is two games long, helping bring Washington back to respectability. One of the teams will lose again Sunday, as they play one another.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Washington vs. Vikings
Things have looked up of late for two of the NFL’s lesser teams.

The Washington injury report is largely clean for the weekend, with the team getting quarterback Robert Griffin III back from injury. The Vikings are even healthier, as their only fantasy-relevant injury (and it's barely that) entering the game is tight end Chase Ford, dealing with a foot injury, and he's expected to be active.
The Vikings will host Sunday’s game at 1 p.m. ET. Let’s check on the fantasy names:
WASHINGTON
Start 'em: He's been a moderate disappointment this season, but Alfred Morris is still a good RB2 in a week with a lot of running backs out. ... DeSean Jackson has looked great of late, and makes sense as a WR2 or very strong flex play.
Start 'em?: In the last five weeks, Pierre Garcon has exactly one game with double-digit fantasy points, and only two of more than four. He's a fine flex play, but not much more. ... Jordan Reed hasn't had any really big games; he's in the mid-level tier of tight ends. ... That's three straight good kicking games for Kai Forbath, and he only has two truly bad ones. ... The Washington defense has had back-to-back good games, which is nice, but those come on the heels of four straight really bad ones.
Sit 'em: If you've been scuffling along at quarterback and he's been dropped, absolutely pick up Robert Griffin III, but give him at least this week before you seriously consider using him in fantasy. ... Roy Helu Jr. continues to get a few touches, but unless something happens to Morris, he's not helpful in fantasy. ... Niles Paul's primary fantasy role in the offense is taking targets away from Reed right now.
VIKINGS
Start 'em: We're still waiting for the first touchdown from Jerick McKinnon, but he's getting enough yards that he's still a definite start.
Start 'em?: If you're feeling aggressive, Cordarrelle Patterson's targets have risen again. I'd prefer to hold off on using him, but in a desperate situation, he's got potential. ... Blair Walsh has a big leg, but his team's offense keeps his overall value low. ... The Vikings' defense has improved four weeks in a row, and suddenly looks competent. If Griffin doesn't come back strong, Minnesota could take advantage.
Sit 'em: The relatively big game for Teddy Bridgewater in Week 8 only looks acceptable because of his two awful games before that; he's a stay-away. ... Matt Asiata's fantasy relevance is fully depleted. ... Greg Jennings has a series of almost-helpful fantasy games, which is more than Jarius Wright has put up, but neither one needs to be near a starting lineup. ... Even if Chase Ford plays Sunday -- and it seems likely -- he's not a fantasy option.
