The Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos come into their Week 12 matchup with an identical +69 point differential through 10 games. The 6-4 Dolphins won in Week 11 and sit two games back of the New England Patriots in the AFC East, while the Broncos are 7-3 and barely in first in the AFC West.
Dolphins vs. Broncos start/sit advice: Ryan Tannehill travels to face Peyton Manning’s offense
If you go by point differential, Miami and Denver are playing to an equal level this season.

The Dolphins tend to list a lot of players on their injury report, meaning quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Lamar Miller, wide receivers Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry and tight end Charles Clay are all on the week's injury report, though only Clay appears likely to miss Sunday. Miller's injury is concerning as well, and with a late-afternoon start, there's a chance he could be a surprise inactive. The Broncos, too, have a lot of injuries to deal with. Running backs Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman have already been declared out, while Juwan Thompson will play despite a knee injury. After clearing the league's concussion protocol, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is also expected to play Sunday, while tight end Julius Thomas is much more questionable with an ankle injury.
The Broncos will host Sunday’s game at 4:25 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the names to note for fantasy:
DOLPHINS
Start 'em: It's been a long stretch of strong kicking performances for Caleb Sturgis. You're using him.
Start ‘em?: There’s a permanent spot reserved in the “QB2 with limited upside” ranks for Ryan Tannehill. ... Considering the opposing defense, his injury concerns and the game’s late start, Lamar Miller is a very questionable fantasy play. ... Mike Wallace has seen his numbers tail off in recent weeks. He’s a low-end WR2 or flex play at best.
Sit 'em: The numbers for rookie Jarvis Landry have been acceptable of late, but not good enough for fantasy consideration. ... Charles Clay is likely to miss Sunday, and the Dolphins don't have much of a secondary option at tight end. ... Even a defense as good as the Dolphins' defense is tough to use against the Broncos.
BRONCOS
Start 'em: He might (might) have been surpassed in the QB rankings by Aaron Rodgers, but Peyton Manning is still obviously an every-week must-start. ... Even without the team's other weapons being hurt, Demaryius Thomas would be a must-start, and now that he's active, Emmanuel Sanders needs to be in lineups as well.
Start 'em?: If you have C.J. Anderson, you're probably using him, especially with the injuries to the team's other running backs, but it's not like he has a huge track record of success. ... The Denver tight-end situation is clear in its murkiness: If Julius Thomas is active, you have to start him, and if Thomas is out, Jacob Tamme is a starter. ... The Broncos' defense hasn't been spectacular this season, but it's functional in a pinch.
Sit 'em: He's just a backup to Anderson, rendering Juwan Thompson nothing but a boom-or-bust running back who needs a touchdown to help. ... Brandon McManus just hasn't done a lot as a fantasy kicker.
