Fantasy football rankings, Week 13: Wide receivers for standard, PPR leagues

Where has Jeremy Maclin disappeared to? We take a look at the Eagles’ top receiver and deliver our Week 13 receiver rankings.

What has happened to Jeremy Maclin? He was tearing it up over the first seven games. Of course, this coincided with Nick Foles under center. Maclin scored double digits in five of those seven games and caught six touchdowns. Over the last three games with Mark Sanchez starting at quarterback, Maclin has only one double-digit game and one touchdown. His schedule gets tougher down the stretch, though his Week 16 matchup against Washington leaves a glimmer of hope. Sanchez has really spread the ball around and I think Jordan Matthews has his attention as much as Maclin. This week's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys will be tough but could show us where Maclin stands in the pecking order.

Cordarrelle Patterson was injured on a kick return against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It looked like either an ankle or knee injury but not too serious. He left the game but returned later and seemed to be moving okay. Larry Fitzgerald missed the game against the Seattle Seahawks with his MCL sprain. This type of injury requires time to recover and he'll probably miss this week's game. Week 14 would be the earliest that he'll return but even that might be optimistic.

We all know that Green Bay as an organization has an eye for talent. One of their 2013 draft picks was Charles Johnson, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings. He's started to break out with a second consecutive strong performance coming on Sunday against the Packers. This week's matchup is great against the Carolina Panthers' weak pass defense. If you're in need of a flex, you can do much worse than Johnson. Another player that may benefit from more playing time is Nick Toon. He might be part of the replacement plan in for the New Orleans Saints with the loss of Brandin Cooks, catching three passes for 42 yards on Monday night. He hasn't shown much since being drafted by the Saints in 2012 but maybe all he needed was an opportunity. Keep an eye on his playing time because we know the Saints passing game can turn anyone into a star.
