The Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins both come into Sunday riding three-game winning streaks. The Lions' 6-2 record is better than the 5-3 of the Dolphins, while Miami's +60 point differential is well ahead of Detroit's +36. And the Lions and Dolphins are first and third, respectively, in fewest points allowed in the NFL. Sunday's matchup between the two is a sneaky-great matchup.
Fantasy football advice, Week 10: Who to start/sit for Dolphins vs. Lions
Two strong defenses face each other Sunday. Can the offensive players overcome their opponents?

From an injury perspective, the Dolphins will come into Sunday worried about their top running back, as Lamar Miller suffered a shoulder injury last week. He's listed as questionable, but expected to play in the game. The Lions will be getting wide receiver Calvin Johnson and running back Reggie Bush back to reasonably full strength Sunday. The team's tight-end trio of Eric Ebron, Joseph Fauria and Brandon Pettigrew is more of a concern -- Ebron is doubtful with a hamstring injury, while both Fauria and Pettigrew are questionable, but at least expected to give it a go.
The Lions will host Sunday’s game at 1 p.m. ET. Let’s look at what players might overcome the stout defenses they’ll be facing:
DOLPHINS
Start ‘em: The Dolphins’ defense has been the top unit in the league this season, and has averaged more than 19 points a game the last three weeks. It’s a must-start for now.
Start 'em?: The strong stretch of performances from Ryan Tannehill of late are a bit of a mirage, considering it's been against a subpar group of teams, but he's still shown enough to be a reasonable QB2 or bye-week fill-in this week. ... Assuming he plays, you're probably using Lamar Miller even with his shoulder injury, but it's enough to render him no longer a sure thing. ... With back-to-back five-point games after six straight of eight-plus to start the season, Mike Wallace no longer looks like a sure thing, but he's still a high-end flex at least. ... Considering the byes and a couple decent games of late, Charles Clay is at least a consideration, but he's still in the mid-range TE2 tier. ... Caleb Sturgis has put up a string of good-to-better games at kicker. A tough opposing defense could limit his opportunities, but he's still worth strong consideration.
Sit 'em: The Dolphins are regularly increasing Jarvis Landry's looks, and his production has risen lately, but for now he's still outside starting territory.
LIONS
Start 'em: His disappointing production this season without his top tools has really taken some of the shine off of Matthew Stafford, but a reasonably full complement of weapons and a home game this week should keep him in starting territory, even against a strong defense. ... We can't just go right back to ranking Calvin Johnson as fantasy's No. 1 wide receiver, but he's definitely back in the top tier. You're using him. ... And Johnson's return only hurts Golden Tate's value a bit, as he's shown enough to stay right in the rotation.
Start 'em?: With everyone healthy, either of Joique Bell or Reggie Bush could be productive Sunday, and it's even possible both will be. But it's hard to say for sure which will, and neither is much better than a high-end flex play. ... From a fantasy perspective, the Lions' defense has fallen off a bit in recent weeks. It's still probably a unit to use, but it's not as sure as it was a while back.
Sit 'em: It's fairly irrelevant which of Eric Ebron, Joseph Fauria and/or Brandon Pettigrew plays Sunday; you can't use any of them. ... We've seen enough of Matt Prater to conclude he's a better kicker option than his Detroit predecessors this season, but he's still hard to count on as a fantasy starter.
