Aaron Rodgers went down awkwardly after throwing a touchdown pass during the second quarter of Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. He had to be helped off the field with a limp before being carted off to the locker room.

Aaron Rodgers went down awkwardly with a calf injury after throwing a touchdown pass Sunday. He returned to the field in the third quarter.
Update: Rodgers returned midway through the third quarter. His return came at just the right time for the Packers, right after a Detroit touchdown made it 14-14.
Rodgers was listed as officially questionable to return with a calf injury. He appears to have aggravated an injury he suffered during the week that limited his practice time. Rodgers was listed as probable heading into the game, but looked to be in poor shape when he left.
Rodgers did not take a big hit on the play. He scrambled before heaving a short pass to Randall Cobb in the end zone to give the Packers a 14-0 lead.
Rodgers has not had to miss any playing time this season. Entering Sunday’s game he had a 111.0 passer rating that ranked second in the NFL behind only Tony Romo. Before leaving, he was 6 of 9 passing for 97 yards and one score.
If Rodgers cannot return, Matt Flynn will take over the Packers’ offense at quarterback. Flynn has played well in relief of Rodgers in the past. He had a four-touchdown performance in a start against the Dallas Cowboys last season, and threw for a Packers-record six touchdowns against the Lions in 2011.
