The Minnesota Vikings have five wins, and are afterthoughts in the NFC. The New York Jets wish they were that well off, as they are five games out of next-to-last in the AFC East. Ultimately, neither of these teams is going anywhere, but you'd have to think the Vikings are closer.
Fantasy football advice, Week 14: Who to start/sit for Jets vs. Vikings
These are two bad teams, but one of them is just a little more bad than the other.

Several fantasy-relevant Jets appeared on the week's injury report, including running back Chris Johnson, tight ends Jace Amaro and Jeff Cumberland and kicker Nick Folk. Amaro, still dealing with a concussion, is the only one who appears likely to miss Sunday's game. As for the Vikings, the team's top three tight ends -- Kyle Rudolph, Chase Ford and Rhett Ellison -- are all on the injury report, but all three should play. Running back Jerick McKinnon, meanwhile, is less of a sure thing, and he could miss Sunday with a back issue.
The Vikings will host Sunday’s game, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the fantasy names to consider:
JETS
Start 'em?: The Jets' aversion to passing really helped the usage of Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory last week, but it's got to be almost impossible to run them out there with any confidence.
Sit 'em: The Jets' offense is a disaster, and that disaster is helmed by the quarterbacks. Geno Smith is holding the job right now, but neither of the team's quarterbacks warrants any place on a fantasy roster. ... The awfulness of the team's passing game has rendered Eric Decker, Percy Harvin and the tight-end duo of Jace Amaro and Jeff Cumberland all useless. ... The team's offense isn't good enough for Nick Folk to do much, either. ... The Jets' defense has been better of late, but it's still not anything you want to use.
VIKINGS
Start ‘em: The Vikings’ defense is coming off a great game, and the Jets are a helpful team for a defense to face. That’s a top-10 unit in Week 14.
Start 'em?: The matchup against the Jets makes any quarterback look good. Teddy Bridgewater is still on the fringes of fantasy relevance, but this certainly makes him look better. ... Against the Jets, Greg Jennings, Charles Johnson and Kyle Rudolph are interesting if-you're-super-desperate options, but not much more than that. ... Blair Walsh hasn't been great this year, but in a home game when he should have opportunities, he's not a bad option.
Sit 'em: The Vikings' running-back trio of Jerick McKinnon, Matt Asiata and Ben Tate is off the fantasy radar, and McKinnon's health is only a small part of the reason why. ... Where have you gone, Cordarrelle Patterson?
