Curling officially gets underway early Monday morning with the men’s round robin.
Olympic curling schedule and preview 2014: United States begins competition Monday
One of Canada’s top events starts on Monday.

Russia and Great Britain kick off the competition, and three other curling matches will begin at midnight ET on Monday morning. The United States doesn’t participate until Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET. There are 10 countries represented in each of the men’s and women’s portion of the competition and 12 countries competing overall.
For those unfamiliar, curling is a sport in which competitors slide a stone toward a target on ice while teammates attempt to steer the stones with brushes. It’s as exciting as it sounds. Each team consists of four players. Canada would appear to be the early favorite in the tournament, but there’s plenty of curling left to be done.
