2014 Winter Olympic skiing schedule: Alpine, freestyle, and biathlon

We take a look at the schedule for skiing’s alpine, freestyle and biathlon events at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Al Bello

The 2014 Winter Olympics are here proper, which means there’s plenty of skiing to watch. There will be hours upon hours of skiing and plenty of medals to be handed out in alpine, freestyle and biathlon events. The fact is, skiing is the dominant sport at the Winter Olympics.

You’ve got the slow and methodical cross-country skiing to the incredibly steep slopes in the downhill sports. There’s something for everyone, you know, provided you like ... skiing. The super combined downhill, the super combined slalom and the giant slalom are among the highlights for alpine skiing.

For biathlon, the relays are always some of the most exciting. For freestyle, there’s the ski cross and halfpipe events which always draw plenty of viewers. Whatever the case, many of the events will get underway proper on Monday and the events will have all concluded by Feb. 22.
