A-League week 19 squad lists

Sydney FC’s travails have headlined league news this week and the Sky Blues will be at least without Nick Carle due to a new adductor inury.

Matt King

The A-League's biggest story of the week gone by was the removal from and reactivation to training of Matt Thompson and Nick Carle at Sydney FC. Though Thompson has been named in Frank Farina's provisional team for this weekend's game against Perth Glory at the Allianz Stadium, Carle has been listed with an adductor injury and will miss two weeks. Elsewhere, Melbourne Victory will be playing Muangthong United in a Champions League qualifier leaving Western Sydney Wanderers without a game this weekend. Kim Seung-Yong could make his Central Coast Mariners debut against Adelaide United while Joel Griffiths, Andrew Hoole and Liam Miller will all be out of the match between Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets at Suncorp Stadium.
