How to watch Winter Olympics 2014 online, TV schedule and more

Say goodbye to four hockey teams in this first round of playoff action.

Slovakia and Slovenia are two of the teams facing elimination in Tuesday’s hockey action.

SB Nation 2014 Winter Olympic Coverage

Since everyone’s probably made the “we’re up all night for good fun / we’re up all night to watch hockey” joke already, we’ll just kick things off by saying you should stay up all night and watch all the hockey the NBC Sports Network has to offer, and if you’re reading this in bed, get out and turn the TV on now.

Why? Because we’re into the elimination portion of the hockey schedule. For half of the eights teams competing today, this is it — and the other four’s time is short as well, as they have to face the top four seeds, all coming off byes.

So it’s Czech Republic facing Slovakia. Russia facing Norway. Switzerland facing Latvia. Austria facing Slovenia. All eight teams with their butts on the line. There’s nothing like elimination hockey, people. Trust us when we say you should be watching as much of this as possible. You can sleep when you’re dead and/or fired for sleeping at your desk.

For those with more of an affinity for pants, curling features a tiebreaker between Great Britain and Norway (and Norway’s pants). That’s on tape delay, but you can watch online at NBCOlympics.com/video. All events are live on NBCOlympics.com/video if you are a cable subscriber. And there are no other legal, acceptable options for you! Thanks NBC!

Bobsledding, speed skating, Nordic combined and probably some women’s giant slalom (it was rescheduled from earlier) are all on the TV docket for Tuesday as well. But for real, the hockey.
