How to watch Winter Olympic hockey online, TV schedule and more
The United States needs a win over Finland to salvage a bronze medal. Here’s how to watch.
Saturday is a bittersweet day for hockey fans. Yes, there’s a medal game. Yes, America is involved. But it’s not the gold, and we all know it, and ugh.
But the game must go on, and if a bronze medal sounds underwhelming, imagine the shame if the USA doesn’t medal at all. That’s what’s at stake as the Americans face mighty Finland for the bronze on Saturday.
The bronze medal game is televised live at 10 a.m. ET Saturday on the NBC Sports Network. (Not even regular NBC! The indignity!) If you’re not interested in waking up that early, it will be replayed at 6 p.m., again on NBCSN. Set your DVRs or your watches or your whatevers.
Additionally, you can watch the game live streaming online at NBCOlympics.com.
That’s it for hockey on Saturday; the gold medal showdown between Sweden and Canada is set for Sunday, one of the last events of the Olympiad. As it should be, probably, but it’s still weird to think how close we are to the end of this all. We were just getting used to each other, Sochi.
