Olympic skiing schedule: Biathlon, cross-country, freestyle and ski jump take over Saturday

One sport, four different events. Here’s the full skiing schedule for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Nathan Bilow-USA TODAY Sports

Skiing is the dominant event at the Winter Olympics. Events range from the slow trudge of cross country skiing to the mind-bending steep slopes in the downhill events. Over the course of a single day, skiers could be hiking through the mountains and flying through the air in various events.

On Saturday, the skiing begins with the women’s cross-country skiathlon at 5:00 a.m. The women’s skiing continues with the qualifying event for the moguls begins at 9 a.m. ET. The men’s biathlon, which is a sprint, begins at 9:30 a.m. ET. Next up is a qualifying round for the men’s ski jump at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by the next round of the women’s moguls event at 1 p.m. ET.

As early as the first weekend of competition, medals will be handed out in the skiing events. Below is a full list of the schedule for skiing broken down by the event.
