Oscar Pistorius appears to vomit in court during graphic testimony

Oscar Pistorius, the Olympic runner accused of the premeditated murder of his girlfriend, appeared to vomit in court on Monday while a pathologist described details of the autopsy he performed on Reeva Steenkamp.

From the AP:

The double-amputee runner, hunched over on a bench, reacted to the description of Steenkamp’s wounds by vomiting and retching repeatedly, prompting Masipa to briefly halt the testimony to ask chief defense lawyer Barry Roux to attend to his client. The judge also asked whether Pistorius was able to understand the proceedings. Roux said Pistorius’ reaction was not going to change. A bucket was placed at his feet.

Judge Thokozile Masipa prohibited live broadcasting and real-time reporting on social media during the autopsy testimony because of its graphic content.

After the ban, reporters shared details on social media.
