Michigan vs. Tennessee betting, Louisville vs. Kentucky Sweet 16 odds

Sweet 16 betting in the Midwest sees two dangerous underdogs in Kentucky and Tennessee. Louisville and Michigan are favored on the betting odds menu.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

With a trip to the NCAA Tournament Finals last year and a trip to the Sweet 16 this year, the 2-seed Michigan Wolverines are 7-1 SU and ATS in their last eight tournament games. They’ll attempt to keep that hot streak going on Friday as a 2.5-point favorite against the 11-seed Tennessee Volunteers.

Later Friday night, the 4-seed Louisville Cardinals are a 4.5-point favorite facing the 8-seed Kentucky Wildcats.

Michigan has looked the part of a strong 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament so far, blowing out Wofford 57-40 and then Texas 79-65. The Wolverines are 9-1 SU over their last 10 games and have covered the spread in three of their last four games.

2-seeds are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS against 11-seeds since 2002.

Computer Predictions: 71.0-69.7 Volunteers | 80.7-69.0 Cardinals

Tennessee crushed Mercer 83-63 to advance into the Sweet 16, improving to 7-1 SU and ATS over its last eight games. The Volunteers have won their last seven games by an average margin of victory of 22.9 points per game.

The total has gone UNDER in 10 of Tennessee’s last 12 games as an underdog.

The Tennessee vs. Michigan betting matchup tips off at 7:15 p.m. ET on Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Kentucky vs. Louisville takes to the hardwood next at 9:45 p.m.

After upsetting 1-seed Wichita State, the Kentucky Wildcats are now 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their last five games after going 2-3 SU and 0-5 ATS in their previous five. Kentucky is 7-0 SU and 6-0-1 ATS over its last seven tournament games.

The Wildcats are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games against Louisville.

With its 66-51 win over Saint Louis, Louisville improved to 7-0 SU and 6-1 ATS over its last seven games. The Cardinals are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven Sweet 16 appearances.

The UNDER is 5-1 in Louisville’s last six games and 11-3 in the last 14 games between Louisville and Kentucky.
