It is appears that this is a different injury to the one that kept Ronaldo out of the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund, a game that saw him hopping around anxiously on the sidelines as Madrid lost 2-0 and progressed only by the skin of their teeth. Madrid will be hoping that he heals quickly, and that Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema will be able to pick up the goalscoring slack.
Update: Madrid have confirmed the injury to Ronaldo’s left hamstring. They have not, however, provided an estimate as to the length of time he’ll be out.
