The prop bets for the Preakness Stakes are out, and you can bet on a number of potential outcomes for Derby winner California Chrome.

California Chrome opened as a 3/5 favorite to win the race, and he is an even heavier favorite to finish in the top three. The colt has 1/5 odds for a top-three finish, according to Odds Shark, by far the highest of the 10 horses in the field. Social Inclusion is next at 9/5. If you don't think California Chrome will run well, you can get 3/1 odds that he'll finish outside of the top three.
Although California Chrome is a popular betting pick to win the Preakness, you can take it a step further than that. He won the Derby by a healthy margin, and potential winning margin in the Preakness is another prop from Odds Shark. Winning by a neck or more comes with -130 odds, and a close victory has -110 stakes. The focus is currently on the Preakness, but that hasn’t stopped some from looking ahead at a potential run for the Triple Crown. While not winning is still the heavy favorite at 1/3, California Chrome is 2/1 to win the Triple Crown. Those odds have dropped considerably since California Chrome won the Derby. Prior to that win, he was at 9/1 to win the Triple Crown, according to Odds Shark. A win in the Preakness, and the odds will drop even further.
