Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana came out in the first round of their fight on Showtime pay-per-view knowing what each man would be looking to do.

Maidana threw a big overhand right that just missed while Mayweather looked to move and throw jabs to the head and body.
Maidana then forced Mayweather into the ropes and mugged him, throwing a nonstop flurry of punches while Mayweather had to cover up and just try and weather the early storm. It was a great start for Maidana who may not have landed that much but did things that would bother Floyd.
