Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has had quite the All-Star trip. Following his oh-fer in the Home Run Derby, Puig put up another goose egg in the All-Star Game, going 0-3 with three strikeouts. His three strikeouts make him the first player to record three whiffs in the All-Star Game since Dan Uggla in 2008. This shouldn't worry Puig or Dodgers fans, as Uggla has remained a quality player over the past six seasons. The only player to strike out four times in an All-Star Game was Roberto Clemente in 1967.
MLB All-Star Game: Puig strikes out three times, AL takes the lead
Three singles and a sac fly score two off the Neshek/Clippard pitching combination.

While he didn't allow any runs, Detroit Tigers starter Max Scherzer did allow a double to Troy Tulowitzki, who made a nifty move to secure the safe call at second base.
The AL wasn't content to leave the game tied, stringing together three consecutive singles to left field (from Derek Norris, Alexei Ramirez and Mike Trout) off of St. Louis Cardinals reliever Pat Neshek to take the lead. Neshek, who had allowed only three runs on the entire season, was charged with two runs on three hits in ⅓ of an inning. Washington Nationals reliever Tyler Clippard came on to replace him, allowing one inherited runner to score. The AL leads 5-3 after five.
