Timberwolves receiving Thaddeus Young, Anthony Bennett in Kevin Love trade

The Kevin Love trade that’ll be finalized on Saturday includes a second deal that’ll send Thaddeus Young to Minnesota. Anthony Bennett, initially rumored to be on the move a second time, will stay in Minnesota.

The Kevin Love trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers is now a three-team deal. The Timberwolves will acquire Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins from the Cavaliers, then send two role players and a first-round pick to the Philadelphia 76ers to acquire Thaddeus Young, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Here are the specifics of the trade:

CAVALIERS GET: Kevin Love.

TIMBERWOLVES GET: Andrew Wiggins, Thaddeus Young, Anthony Bennett.

76ERS GET: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved, first-round pick from Miami Heat (top-10 protected in 2015 and 2016, unprotected in 2017).

The Timberwolves will also receive a $4 million trade exception by virtue of sending out more salary than they took in.

The deal will become official on August 23 once 30 days passes since Wiggins signed his rookie deal with the Cavaliers. Per NBA rules, teams must wait that long to trade a first-round pick after signing him.

There were initial reports that the Timberwolves would send Bennett to the 76ers to acquire Young, but they'll be keeping him instead. The 76ers instead receive a the first-round pick they could not get last February when dealing other veterans Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner. They also receive Mbah a Moute, who's been a mentor to 2014 first-round pick Joel Embiid.
