The sad thing is that you won’t even be that impressed, at first.

Travis d’Arnaud grounded out to to shortstop Andrelton Simmons twice on Wednesday night. One play was routine, but the other one ... well ...

It’s not that plays like never happen, but the ease with which Simmons pulls this off is borderline frustrating. It’s not supposed to look that simple. The fact that d’Arnaud can run well for a catcher makes this play even more impressive.
